The Belief Bear Journey
I’m Kimberly, and Belief Bears was first whispered into my heart while I was on mission in Kenya in July 2025. I had never experienced love, joy, generosity, and hospitality the way I did there. Something in that place — in the people, in the way they lived, in the way they loved — changed me forever.
While I was there, I kept asking God, “How can I be part of sharing Your love and encouragement for the world-wide people who need You? How can my one small voice make an impact in a world that needs so much?” And in that quiet, holy way He speaks, the whisper in my heart grew louder: “I can take one small voice and turn it into a ROAR.”
At first, I just wanted something to remember my first international mission — a simple keepsake. That desire became my very first bear, Mission Mate. I had no idea that one small idea would grow into a nonprofit organization with multiple bear designs, a clear mission and vision, and a team of some of God’s most beautiful people working together to bring comfort and hope to others.
But that’s how God works. He plants a seed and says, “Watch what I can do with this.”
What started as a quiet idea in my heart has grown into something bigger than me — something God continues to breathe life into. I’ve watched children cling to their bears during scary moments. I’ve seen adults hold them close during grief, recovery, or transition. And every time, I’m reminded that God uses ordinary things to do extraordinary work.
Building Stronger Communities, One Bear at a Time
Belief Bears is a faith-based 501(c)(3) mission-driven organization operating exclusively for charitable purposes. We serve children, families, and communities through healing-centered, encouragement-based programs, community partnerships, and dignified employment opportunities.
Our mission-aligned fundraising model includes designing and distributing Belief Bears to the public and to nonprofit partner organizations that sponsor children. Net proceeds support charitable programs and partner organizations that align with our exempt purpose.
Our vision is a future where every child, individual, and community feels valued, supported, and empowered—strengthened by simple, intentional comforts that affirm worth and inspire hope.
Our goal is to create lasting impact by using Belief Bears as tools to foster resilience, confidence, and hope in the lives of those we serve.
